Long Island public boat launch on Long Island Road (S.R. 1833), in Catawba NC. Long Island has a boat ramp, small boat/canoe access and is handicap accessible with two parking spaces and ramps to floating docks.

On I-77 take exit 36 onto NC 150 west across Lake Norman. Turn right onto Sherrills Ford Road and follow for 3 miles to right on Mollys Backbone. After 2.7 miles bear left on Monbo. Then right onto Long Island Road and continue for 1.2 miles. The access area is on the left.
