Stumpy Creek Access Area
Stumpy Creek is a public boat launch on Lake Norman for recreational use only. The boat landing is open 24 hours a day, year round. It is maintained and operated by Iredell County Parks and Recreation.
A $2.00 daily launch fee is required for all watercraft. A Season Pass can be purchased by calling the Parks and Recreation Department @ 704-878-3103. Season Passes are valid from the date of purchase through the end of the calendar year.
Swimming and Sun Bathing are not allowed at Stumpy Creek boat launch. Picnicking and fishing are allowed.
Fees & Passes
A $2 use fee is required per vehicle.
A season pass can be purchased online (below), or by calling the Iredell County Parks and Recreation Department at 704-878-3103
Season passes are available for the calendar year for the following rates:
$50: January-December (passes for the upcoming year can be mailed in December)
$30: July-December
A senior rate is available for ages 55 and over (proof of age required).
Season passes will be mailed to the registrant within 1 week of purchase.
Please adhere the pass to the windshield of the vehicle.
Users without a pass displayed will be requested to pay the daily $2 use fee, or provide a copy of the receipt showing a pass has been purchased.

Stumpy Creek Boat Landing is designed for RECREATION USE ONLY.
Please help us keep this park tobacco and smoke-free.
The following are prohibited:
- Commercial Use
- Drugs and/or Alcohol
- Weapons
- Fireworks
- Swimming
- Loitering
- ATV’s and unauthorized vehicles
Stumpy Creek Park is an 83-acre facility located in Mooresville off of Perth Road. Highlights include:

Walking Track
9 Hole Disc Golf Course
Field and shelter reservations can be made by calling 704-878-3103.
Park hours are from 9:00 a.m. until dark daily. Closed on Christmas and during inclement weather.
I-77 exit 36, travel west 2 miles, turn right on Perth Road Turn left on Stumpy Creek Rd and follow to end (straight into access area).
